Description
SnapINverter Technology
The SnapINverter generation stands out thanks to its simple mounting system, shared across all models, greatly simplifying installation and maintenance. A key feature is the separation of the connection area from the power stage. The two components are mounted separately: first, the very lightweight connection box is mounted to the wall with all the necessary cabling, and then the power stage is added.
The innovative hinged design makes both installation and service interventions much easier. The inverter is simply hooked onto the wall bracket and then secured. In the event of a fault, it is not necessary to remove the entire inverter – only the power stage, leaving the cabling untouched.
Integrated Data Communication
We offer a comprehensive data communication package that includes full integration of datalogging, WLAN, Ethernet, energy management, a web server, and numerous interfaces. This allows the inverter to be connected to the internet using either a network cable or the WLAN function (with no additional wiring), providing an optimal overview of PV system performance.
Connections to third-party components are ensured via interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU SunSpec, or Fronius Solar API (JSON). These open interfaces can also be used in parallel with Fronius Solar.web.
Smart Grid Ready
Fronius inverters are ready for the smart grid of tomorrow, fully equipped to meet future grid technical requirements. The devices include a number of intelligent functions, known as “Advanced Grid Features.” These are various control features designed to optimize the supply of reactive and active power.
The goal of these functions is to ensure the safe operation of the grid even with a high concentration of PV systems, avoiding unwanted feed-in interruptions due to grid parameter limits, and thus preventing related yield losses.
Fronius inverters ensure optimal system performance and allow for dynamic power feed-in regulation, taking self-consumption into account in the presence of feed-in limits. Simply connect a meter and set the feed-in limit!
Dynamic Peak Manager
Dynamic Peak Manager is an innovative MPP tracking algorithm that dynamically adapts its behavior when searching for the optimal operating point. Its unique feature is the regular automatic scanning of the entire characteristic curve, allowing it to find the Global Maximum Power Point (GMPP), even under partial shading conditions.
Zero Feed-In FunctIon
Grid operators in many countries increasingly require a limitation on PV power feed-in to be connected to the grid. Fronius offers an optimal feed-in management solution based on dynamic power reduction.
In this scenario, the inverter first supplies the domestic loads and then reduces power output to the maximum level allowed by the grid operator. Thanks to this function, Fronius inverters can also achieve zero feed-in, meaning no PV power is fed into the grid. These requirements can be met easily through a simple setting on the inverter’s web interface.
Mounting System
A distinctive feature of our devices is the separation between the connection box and the power stage. The two parts are installed separately. First, the connection box with all necessary wiring is mounted to the wall, followed by the power stage.
In the event of a fault, there is no need to remove the entire inverter – only the power stage, so all settings and configurations remain saved.
